Overview of Services

Box On The Move (BOTM) shall rent equipment (plastic bins & dollies) to the Renter for the rental period. During the rental period, BOTM shall deliver and pick up the equipment from address provided by Renter. BOTM does NOT assist with packing or moving. All equipment shall remain the sole and exclusive property of BOTM.

 

Rental Period

BOTM’s standard rental periods are seven (7) days or fourteen (14) days. Should the Renter require the equipment for less than seven days (7) the Renter will still be charged for a seven (7) day period. Should the Renter require the equipment for more than fourteen (14) days, BOTM will try to accommodate subject to equipment availability.

 

Delivery Area

BOTM’s current service areas are Union County, Matthews, Pineville, Mint Hill and South Charlotte. We offer free delivery and pick up for Union County and a $35 delivery and pick up fee for Matthews, Pineville, Mint Hill and South Charlotte.

 

Payment

Payment is due IN FULL upon purchasing our services. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you hereby agree to pay all fees and charges specified on our website. We reserve the right to change the fees for our services or charge a fee where one was not previously charged.

 

Changes to Order

BOTM requests that Renter’s call, text, or email BOTM immediately upon requiring a change to its rental period or an increase to the amount of equipment ordered. BOTM will try to accommodate the change, subject to equipment availability.

  • For requested changes to the rental period, if the length of the rental period is not changing but the dates are, BOTM will accommodate the change free of charge, subject to equipment availability.

  • For requested changes to rental period or increase in equipment, BOTM will try to accommodate subject to availability. Applicable charges will apply and delivery fee if original order has already been delivered to the Renter. If the order has not been delivered, there will be no extra delivery charges and the Renter will just pay the difference.

 

Cancellation Policy

BOTM may offer a refund if the Renter cancels its order twenty-four (24) hours prior to its scheduled delivery time. For a successfully cancelled order, the full amount will be refunded to the Renter, LESS a five percent (5%) administrative fee. If the Renter cancels its order less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to its scheduled delivery time or after delivery of the equipment, there will be no refund given to the Renter.

 

Replacement Fees

Renter is responsible for taking proper care of equipment during the rental period. In the event equipment is damaged, lost, stolen or not returned Renter will be charged:

  • $125.00 per bin; and

  • $150.00 per dolly

 

Use & Liability

BOTM will not be responsible for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services and/or equipment, including, but not limited to injury or property damage.

  • We recommend filled boxes not stacked more than 4 boxes high. The heaviest box at the bottom while the lightest stacked at the top.

  • We recommend boxes not filled beyond the weight capacity of sixty (60) pounds.
